Four years ago, Trinidad joined Rock Boxing Academy with his dad Nick Vargas being his personal trainer. While representing Rock Boxing, he learned self motivation, self discipline and self defense.
At the age of 8 he started competing in USA boxing sanctioned tournaments. Winning the majority of his bouts. He started competing in the 60 lb weight class. With his dedication and determination he was able to adapt quickly to the atmosphere the sport brought upon him.
Next in 2012 he won his first Golden Gloves title. Competing in the 65 lb JO Bantam Division. 2013 was no different, Trinidad kept his winning ways by winning yet another Golden Gloves title. This time he competed in the 75lb weight class. In the summer of 2013 he won his first Junior Golden Gloves National title, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Following the Junior Golden Gloves Nationals, Trinidad was competing yet in another National tournament. This time Trinidad and the family travel to the city of Houston, Texas to compete in 2013 Houston Open Nationals. It was a tough tournament but some how, some way Trinidad was able to win his second National tournament.
This would be Trinidad last tournament representing Rock Boxing. After the Houston Open Nationals Trinidad, his dad, and family parted ways from Rock Boxing Academy. The Vargas Family was ready to move into their next chapter. His dad built a home gym at their residence, providing Trinidad with the tools necessary to stay competitive in the sport of boxing.
